I thought it was all about having fun with your Cavalier and friends. With
learning a close second maybe. But for many it IS all about winning. No
doubt about it.

You can argue the value of a win or championship forever. What is more of an
accomplishment? A CKCSC title or AKC? Owner handled win or pro handler?
Winning against 20 other Cavaliers from various kennels or flooding the
entries from your own? Breeding the winnner or importing a proven dog to
win? Winning under a breeder judge or an all rounder?

I have my opinions on the value of each of these and how much or how little
they mean to me. Everyone will have there own (differing) opinions, but
each is some degree of an accomplishment and nobody will convince anyone who
wins that their win is not of value.

Frankly I am not sure what the benefit is of playing "my shows better then
your show" Both have something to offer to Cavalier fanciers.
