Laura,

I'm with Suze. My first actual show I participated in
was in June. I had a wonderful time. The caliber of
dogs was great, and it was nice to meet so many faces
from the yearbooks and lists. Plus, my Loranka bitch
import was Best Puppy in Show 2 days ( Huntly won on
Sat ), so I was floating. However, I do have a health
challenge, so getting away is difficult. And, besides
that, it is very expensive to pay for pet sitters at
home when you have farm animals , taxis, entries, time
from my business, flights, hotels, etc.

We here in the North East are having tremendous
entries, and many of these dogs are fabulous, such as
Keifer, the Sanickro boys at Springfield, etc. Just as
Stephanie Abrahams said, making for a competitive and
very exciting AKC show. I am having a great time. Just
wish the CKCS would have more shows in the North East,
as Suze said, so I could spread my resources out
between the Clubs. But when push comes to shove, I
find all of my dollars going to AKC because it is
local, affordable, and there are many venues. I am
showing nearly every other weekend.

BTW, Suze, Kenjokety Ilona won last weekend in Maine
and now has 3 points, and Tansy Hill Sound Effex has
his first point!

Kindest Regards,

Terri Easterbrooks
