Pam,
Many thanks. But here's how I see it. Breeders have a
responsibility to follow their dogs, and educate their
buyers. I initially bought a show quality boy that ,
in my eyes, at 8 months, was not going to make it. I
sold him as a pet to a Harvard Professor and his wife.
I STILL keep tabs on him, and always will. If, for any
reason, they can't keep him, in their clause it reads
" He must be first offered to me".
I rescue countless animals and rehome, but myself
have purebreds. My most recent rescue is a pure white
Persian cat who had fleas, bad teeth, and matted hair,
and of course, over 1 year and unneutered. Also has
phlegm. How could anyone allow this lovely animal to
go roam the streets? Neglected...he was about to be
euthanized, and my friend called me. How could I say
no? On the other hand, how could this breeder not
follow where her baby went? And if she had a clause,
to not enforce it?
Kindest Regards,
Terri
