Suze I realize I am a little bit late responding to your inquiry but I wanted you to know from personal experience that I agree that surgery on a very young pup for inverted eyelids (my term) is IMHO pretty extreme. Last year I placed a Cavalier pup with this condition in his lower eyelids with my best friend as a Christmas present. Before the placement, my vet told me that in all likelihood the pup would grow out of it, and the pup did exactly that. He's now just under a year old and he is many months past having problems with his eyelids scratching his eyes.
