Hello List -

I am seeking some advice. I have a 3 year old who inhales food -
literally. I give her kibble with something on top, like green tripe,
chicken, venison etc. Problem is, she doesn't chew. She swallows, in
about 30 seconds. This often results in stomach problems, diarrhea,
sometimes eating grass and vomiting, not every day, but often enough
that I have many different drugs and preparations in "the drawer" all
for her. My vet wanted to scope her to see if she had irritable bowel
disease the next time we do a dentistry, but I'm not of a mind to go to
extremes. I think if there was just a way to get her to chew, most of
these problems would be eliminated. Does anyone have any suggestions?
