Carol

Help - I am totally confused. I got an e-mail with an underscore from this
unsuspecting gentleman. I tried to mail him back to tell him I received a
blank form, but because of the underscore it bounced back. When I realised
what had happened I removed the underscore, the e-mail got through and he
told me he hadn't sent me anything but that I may have got a virus from his
address book.

I have been to the Norton site and am none the wiser, but I am up to date
with their updates. I am now running Norton whenever I use e-mail
applications as an insurance. My computer seems to be okay. I have run a
scan which tells me nothing has been found. I ran this on C drive.

Is there anything else I should have done? Is it likely that I have a virus
because of the underscored message I opened? I always thought viruses could
only travel via attachments, which I never open unless from someone I know
and trust.

I am mystified
