AOL mail is rather simplistic and in 6 years, i've never gotten a virus. I
can see them in the mail with attachments etc. but I delete them. When i've
accidently opened it, but not downloaded anything it doesn't seem to want to
come into the aol stuff. Outlook and outlook express are much more
sophisticated and can pass around embeded things etc. Also, i never put any
address in my address book, so if i got a virus, It would stop with me.

I see tons of ckcsc L list mail in my inbox for AOL with the _ underscore
before the name. Those are all infected. Just delete as soon as you see it.
Don't open no matter who it's from and no matter what the subject. Use a
clean new mail to send to the person if you can tell who it's from, and alert
them. Try to alert them in the subject line by telling them they have mail
appearing to have a virus so they dont have to open to get your s.o.s. to
them...

good luck. watch now that i've said i'm clean for 6 years. you will all get
some mail from me. hope not!! geez. this is bad this time..
