As I said, genes do not discriminate between health and type traits. If you think that those who scream loudest about testing and are using only fully tested dogs have a higher percentage of their dogs testing positive for many things than the breeders who don't, then you are implying selective breedng does not work for health-- OR type. Maybe breeders who fully test are more open and honest about the occurence of problems in their dogs because they are confident they have done the best job possible. As for me, I have done everything in my power to ensure my dogs will end up as typey as possible, have as good a temperament as possible, and absolutely, positively know those who are bred do NOT have HD, patellar luxation, inherited eye problems, or early onset MVD as evaluated by SPECIALISTS. I know the occurence of problems in my dogs is NOT higher than other breeders and I'm quite certain they are lower than most. So I could care less who knows what problems I have.
