You are right but it still give me a little bit of an edge to talk to either their neighbors, clergy etc. Mind you this is the last step after hours of talking even before they get to see a puppy. I've been very fortunate that most of mine have gone to friends of friends and people I'v meet via the Internet first. I correspond on a regular basis with all of my puppy people and although I know contracts are not iron clad I think that I have mine down to the point that I would have recourse if something went wrong.
