Jeanie Even over here in America some vets will only do the X rays if the dog is under. My vet wants them sedated at least. And yes it take longer than five min from start to finish. After the drops are in you have to wait for 20 min for the examine. That may only take five min if there is nothing to see but then you have to protect the dogs eyes from the strong sun light for hours as it is painful for them. It is not all as simple as some want to say it is.
