Welcome to the group, Dorothea; Cavaliers are the very best dog for loving, traveling, meeting people, and you will be amazed at the breed when you own your first one. And you should do so, without being worried about hearts and other health problems. My two oldies at 12 and 14 have heart problems, but you would never know it. They still dance for their breakfasts, catch cookies, jump on the couch, still love to go bye bye, love to meet new people, etc. They may a bit quieter than the two year olds, but in every way, enjoy their lives. Cavaliers will change your life! Rosanne
>Greetings, everyone, I have just joined this e-mail group about Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. I had no idea that such a group existed until recently. I presently am in Boca Grande, FL, where I spend the winter of each year, and I reside in Greenville, DE, near Wilmington. While I never have owned any Cavaliers, others in my family have for many years, and I always have enjoyed their companionship, but because of their frail heart problems, I always have been reluctant to get one for myself. I am looking forward to reading what you experts have to say about this breed. Dorothea duP.
