Dorothea, I have a Cavalier who will be 13 years old in January. She has MVD and is on medication. She has really slowed down lately, but she is always happy to see me, and thrilled to go places with me in the car. She *loves* her treats, and her supper. There is something very special about the seniors.
I also have a 4 1/2 year old who still acts like a puppy! I will always have a Cavalier. They are the sweetest, most affectionate small breed I have ever known.
