Hi Glenn, For me it is not food specific but color specific ;-). I have four tricolors, one ruby and one blenhiem. Only the blenheim give me trouble with eye stains. She will be three in March and is it just as bad as in the beginning. When I am showing her I put her on a mild antibiotic to stop the tearing. To remove the stains I use equal parts cornstarch, milk of magnesia and peroxide. You make it into the thickness of thick glue, let it dry and then brush it off with a tooth brush. You must be very careful not to get it in the eyes and I even hold my girl while it dries. It will take a few applications to completely remove the stain, but it will.
