One of THE most effective tear/saliva stain removers I have tried,is the natural product Hypercal lotion.They say you should use 5mls to 1/4 cup of BOILED water. I have used this product successfullyfor quite awhile, particularly with one Cavalier whose tears and saliva stains can be rather messy. In fact I was just chatting to Bichon breeder who is at her wits' end with a tearstained dog.She is going to try it with her dog, starting tomorrow. Will let you know if it works for her. For Australasians, it is a Weleda product but I am sure those elsewhere will be able to find a similar one.
