Beans, one time record holder for the breed in Australia (15 BIS) died at
12 from kidney failure
Glenalmond died at 12.
Abighaoil was 14 years 7 months when she died (cancer - her heart still
good)
Most of the other Elvenhomes in the pedigree (And Eadmund - Janine can you
help?) lived
until they were about 12-13 although I don't have written records of their
exact age at death for many of them (too long ago!!!)
Genista had good show career t specialties being Best Puppy, Junior Bitch (H
Priestly) Intermediate Bitch (B Henry) Res CC Sydney Royal (Rainer
Vourinen) and Best Opposite Sex and Best Aust Bred in Show Victorian Club
yunder John Fothergill.
She never bred on here or in the US. She went to the US as a gift in 1991
and has been beautifully cared for by David and Wesley in sunny
California.
Her litter sister Gaillardia was a clown face so was never shown but proved
to be a wonderful producer. She died just one month short of her 15th
birthday, still well but was involved in an accident but at her age surgery
was not an option. Her contribution has been amazing - she is the ancestor
of
Japanese Ch E Gypsy Spell, Katie Eldred's Can Ch E Boykinia, Judy Gate's Am
Ch E Bayberry,
A,NZ,Am Ch E Geraldton (now 8 and heart and eye clear)
and the Aust Chs E Chameuse, Get Going, Glory Bee, Gogetum, Guinness,
Gypsophila, Honr N Glory, and the B&T Revelry.
