The theory is that breeding tri colour to tri colour you generally break
up the black.  I have done tri to tri matings with a well broken bitch
to heavily marked dog and vice versa, heavily marked bitch to well
broken dog.  I have had well broken puppies as a result. The latest tri
to tri litter we have is on our website under Latest Litter.  They were
from a very heavily marked bitch to a well marked dog.
