My daughter was a seven and on-half pound preemie. She was really vigorous
from the beginning...could lift her head when lying on her front and, though
comparatively thin,
(4 LB 11 0Z) was as strong as the full term newborns. They kept her
hospitalized for nineteen days or until she weighed 5 1/2LBs. I was warned
that there might be a lung problem during the first 48 hours, but it did not
happen. There was a baby boy in the same room who was also a 7 1/2 monther.
He didn't make it.

I will try to find out what all this means from a friend who is an OB doctor
and report back to the list.
