We use what I call a "hot box" when we have puppies. I took a rubber maid
container, had Pat cut a little hole on the back corner, put a heating pad
in there and ran the cord out the little hole. Then we cover the heating
pad with a towel or two and keep puppies in it while the others are being
whelped. I can leave the lid on when I need to hold in the heat. I also use
it when I am watching a specific puppy for some reason, or if I need to tube
feed a puppy or even when I wash them off and need to keep them warm while
they dry off. We got a battery adapter at Radio Shack and I can plug it in
to the cigarette lighter in the car if I need to take them to the vet. The
little stick thing would work fine in the hot box. Myra Savant
