We find too that we use our hot box all the time when we have a litter. My girls don't mind in the least if I take their puppies and keep them in the hot box while the others are being whelped. We keep it plugged in on the countertop in the kitchen with all of the whelping supplies in it days before the expected delivery, and then after the pups are here, we keep it plugged in on top of our puppy pen. From now, on I'll keep the little stick thing in mind. We had a little pup in the last litter who kept blowing bubbles out his nose even after I bulb-syringed him several times. Myra Savant
