We feed all of the older dogs only one time a day. We feed them first thing in the morning. The main reason that we feed in the AM is because the feeding is just one of the many, many dog chores that we do and we are morning people. So, their routine is to go out for a nice run first thing in the morning, come in and be crated for their raw chicken/ veggie meal and then be out until nap time. I do give a cookie sometimes and other times, I just put out a few handfuls of kibble on the rug and let them snack on that.
