A breeder I know says markings are "a matter of cosmetics". more important is character, health and the shape of head and body, construction, conformation. Nice markings and pigmentation is the same as: "nice clothes and eye-liner, or make-up." And I agree with that. What do you on the list feel about this statement? And if the bitch was exceptional in almost every other way would you show her if she had a red marking on her face that extended from the side of her muzzle, going up to her nostrils? I have never had to deal with color per se in the other breeds I have had. Another breeder told me that a tri should have a competely white collar without any break. I've never read or heard this before. True?
