Anyone who has been to my website knows I don't care all that much about markings. I have kept and bred clown-faced bitches, very white bitches, bitches whose red barely makes it around their eyes. The last thing I look at is markings. The nicest bitch in my house is my Rummy who is almost totally white. If she had been nicely marked, I believe she would have finished in CKCSC. But I never showed her till last fall--in the Veteran's Class. As for showing, -I- wouldn't show a blen or tri that didn't have a white muzzle or 4 white legs, but beyond that markings wouldn't matter so much. However, I do know of a Cavalier who got a group placing with red extending right to his nose on one side.
