Hi Stephanie,
Exactly.
If you run a dog in agility you can see the dog using their "thumbs" to cut
close to the poles, to push and pull themselves along.
They use them to position their pups.
I have seem them use them to move bedding, food, bones etc.
What I see mostly is the way they move in front...they seem more balanced
with them.
