Myra, I believe that there is a breed that's standard requires double dewclaws. I took this to mean dewclaws on both front and rear legs. Anyone remember which breed this is?
Also, with all the feathering, I doubt that the dewclaws, either front or rear, would be that prominent on a Cavalier. We don't remove dewclaws as it is optional and I don't like hearing the puppies scream. However, I did have the vet do that one litter that had the front and rear dewclaws.
