I have never consulted with someone who proclaims to be an animal communicator per se. However, I do believe that many of us are born with unexplainable talents. Some of us draw, sing etc. without ever having taken a lesson. My brother can burp the alphabet, but I digress. My best friend of over 11 years is a psychic but it isn't something she does for a living it is just a talent she possesses. I know she has the ability to communicate with animals. I will share two events that come to mind, make of it what you will.
Years ago I had a pet chinchilla. One day I began to notice he was not quite himself. His activity level and appetite were normal but something was just off. After a couple of weeks of this I asked my friend to come over and sit with him and see if she got a "feeling" or something. She sat with him next to the cage, never touched him and after about 5 minutes told me that he was complaining that his mouth hurt. I took him to the vet the next day and as it turned out he had a severe malocclusion that required surgery. Another time we, (my best friend and I) were visiting a friend who had a new room mate just move in that owned 2 cockatiels. We went to say hi to the birds one was gray and the other a lutino both looked to be the picture of health and about the same age and size. My friend became quiet suddenly. After a minute or so she told the owner of the birds that the older one was telling her that his wing still hurts sometimes. It was then that we found from the stunned owner in fact that one of the birds was 3 years older and he had broken his wing 2 years before. Do I think there are some people that have this ability...yes. However, I also firmly believe that there are many more who would utilize such claims at the expense of a loving pet owner's suffering to make a quick buck.
