Folds and geographic dysplasia do not cause symptoms.  The dogs don't
squint, or tear from these genetically transmitted diseases, nor is a
regular vet equipped to diagnose them.  If the retinal dysplasia is bad
enough, the dog may have a blind spot, but it's pretty hard to diagnose that
since you can't have them read a chart.  Myra Savant
