ahhh laura,  this reminds me of something that someone (yes prof. handler)
once told me.  when you have a lineup of dogs in the ring and all but one are
common, and the one that stands out is the epitomy of breed type, that is the
one that will look out of place and so they go with the common one because
the really good one looks so different.  i think this is what happens
sometimes because of the fact that there are so many out there that have no
place in the show ring, so the really good ones get overlooked.
like i said before, i have nothing against prof. handlers as long as what
they are showing is deserving of the win.  that is where i think the breeder
handler has more integrity.  the breeder handlers that i know in other breeds
wouldnt be caught dead in the ring with anything less than a quality animal.
