Annette, if a pet owner wants to give their dog a cocker trim with an A5
clipper, that is their choice. However, I really don't think that this
should be promoted in the national club newsletter by a board member when we
already have problems with trimming in the show ring. And, yes, the article
was about using an A5 clipper extensively on a Cavalier. Also, not all
spayed or neutered Cavaliers have the heavy coat. Mine don't and I have some
that have been de-sexed for many years.
