We keep an older collie girl in our elder care facility. She is about 10-11 years old (don't know for sure as she came with a resident who eventually died) and really struggles walking on our Pergo. We have to keep runners down in the hallway and across the dining room so that she can get around. It's a pretty slick surface for an older dog. The newer laminates can look like tiles and have a more dog-friendly finish. Myra
