I have gotten so many great replies re: my flooring question. I just have one final question. When I have the carpet pulled up before whichever floor I choose is laid, I want to seal the areas where there have been urination problems in the past. I actually want to seal the entire hallway just to make sure nothing is missed.
What should I use to do this, and is there something I can use that is quick drying? My idea is for the contractors to pull up the hall carpet, with me painting immediately afterward, and let it dry while they are pulling up the rest and laying down the new. I know it would be possible for them to do the entire job in one day if I did *not* seal the hall. Is it possible to use something quick drying enough so that the hall can be sealed, dry, and covered with the new flooring in the same day? Either way, I will seal the floor. It will just be more complicated with having three cats and two dogs spend a night at the vet's otherwise. My house is one level, so there is no where to put them while this is being done.
