My vet doesn't approve of the fact that we feed a raw diet and raw, meaty marrow bones to our dogs either. However, in the 5 years, that he has been seeing my cavaliers, he has never had to treat one of them for anything. Just routine visits. We find that the raw diet keeps most of the dogs teeth very clean. Some of them build up tartar no matter what we feed them. Those we take to a canine dentist for cleaning. Myra Savant
