Flo,
What I find extraordinary is that you do not seem to feel that you have done
anything wrong!
I can't believe that you seem to be proud of the fact that you have altered
your dogs bite..........
Altering a dogs mouth is not "unconventional" - I consider it cheating and
dishonest. It makes absolutely no difference <<< to check out the dog's
peers and forebears to see if there is a known
history of bad mouths. >>> This is not a justification for actions which are
against the Rules of the KC. and which might deceive people, in this case
the judges and the people who might have unwittingly used your dog at stud.

You write <<< then questions will
eventually be raised as to this dog's dentition. There is sure to be
someone
about who will remember seeing him as a puppy with a bad mouth and
repercussions are more than likely,>>>.
Yes this is Waffle - you have avoided giving information as to whether you
did inform each person who used your dog at stud that you had altered the
mouth.......did you tell them? If you did, then fine. It was their choice to
make whether to use the dog or not. If you didn't, then you were
misrepresenting the dog, letting them use him under false pretences.

<<,here is a short answer to this if in doubt don't interfere with
nature.>>..
The short answer is don't interfere with nature at all by artificial means
if you are interested in the long term well being of the breed. By all
means, help a dog to live a more comfortable life if it has a debilitating
or painful condition. But .......the selection of breeding stock must be
based on truth and honesty.
Jeanie
