You know Peggy, I had an undershot bitch puppy that I sold to a pet home. She
was about 8 months when I let her go. The new owner took her to her vet's and
he comented on the bad bite. The owner explained that the breeder (me) said
that the bite could still change. The vet practically called me a lier.
The bite never came completely right (a couple of teeth out of alignment) but on
her next yearly check up the vet made much of the fact that the owner had
followed his advice and gotten a dog with a better bite.
Didn't he have egg on his face when the owner told him this was the same one.
I think it is an idiosyncracy of Cavaliers that their bites can change up to 2,
3 or in one case I heard of, 4 years. The 4 year old was of course neutered by
that time.
