Jeanie I do apologize. I may have started this but am sure there will be others
who say I did not.. When I would inquire about a puppy I would ask if the puppy
had white in the eyes. Well all dogs have a white portion but some are pigment
and some are not as you say. So it because easier to ask if the eye was double
pigments instead of trying to explain it every time. And after a while we all
just started saying she has lovely double pigmented eyes with NO white. I guess
if you wanted triple pigment it would mean the haw is also pigmented which is
the decorations on the icing on the cake. I know you can not have it all but if
the eyes are not right you lose so much of the expression. I hope you will
forgive us for bringing in yet another term to describe the dogs. So I guess
you want the dog to have the proper pigmented eye which is chocolate brown in
color with the double pigment where the brown looks like it bleeds into the
white and then the chocolate settles on the haws and forms a dark rim which
make the eye look even bigger.

But I am afraid the term double pigmented is here to stay in the good ole USA.
Also I would like to Congratulate all the countries on their efforts and wins
at the Olympics this year. I truly enjoyed watching all that I could watch and
saw some outstanding athletes. I was happy to see the Canadian skating team get
their much deserved metal. And as always no competition goes with out its
controversy.
