Donna,

She is not sitting on her to keep her safe and warm. She klunks down on
her and the little thing squeals and squeals. Then I have to yank her off.
If it is not time for feeding I have removed her from the area. Are you
using an inflatable pool? That would make sense since they do have little
holes/indentations and perhaps have more give when she sits down. I guess a
trip to Toys R Us might be in order if I can find one this time of the
year. I do have a kids pool but it is the semi rigid plastic one with the
rippled bottom - our dogs swim in it!

The puppy is warm and I am wondering if this happens only when I am there
and she is trying to get closer to me - I will have to pay closer attention
to see and maybe I will have to move them to a different room away from us.
This is Hilda's first litter. I do have a feeling that she is confused.

The pool idea seems good - do you just heat from above and cover the pool?
Because the plastic gets hot from the sun I would imagine that it would get
hot from the lamp.

Thank you for the information. Any idea is a good one if it is more than I
had before and it works!
