Sharona Just be aware that the moms can easily kill the babies by sitting on them. A friends bitch systematically suffocated every puppy in a litter by sitting on them and flattening them. She was not being vicious just didn't know what to do when they started crying. Would get nervous - and obviously found a way to get the puppies quiet :o( That was her one and only litter. Sometimes is best to be very cautious - and if you aren't there to watch this one baby - you might let it nurse on mom but until it is stronger - keep it in a separate box with a heating pad.
