If your dogs are not used to being along for several hours at a time, it
could be stressful for them - and stressed dogs can get into trouble. My
dogs are alone all day - I work. However, Keno is kept in a exercise pen
with toys, etc., so he can't get himself in trouble. Windy just sleeps all
day.

Which leads me to a connected thought - for those who are home all day, do
you make sure that your dogs are isolated/contained for several hours at a
time, just in case a situation comes up where you would be gone all day. I
have seen serious issues arise when an at-home person had to go back to work
and the dogs were not used to being alone.
