Hi Glenn,
As a judge ,I have no objection to a person asking me my reasons for the placement or
non placement of their dog.
I ask the person to come and talk with the dog at the end of my assignment.
However as a breeder of many years I also feel I know the faults of my dogs and where
it should place in the class. If the judge is in the ball park ,they go in my positive
list . If they are out in left field they go in my forget it list.
This is when critiques are so helpful.

Is it proper to ask a judge to explain why he placed your dog the way he
did or to ask the judge his opinion of your dog?
