I had a lady phone me today who wanted a cavalier who was adamant about
not needing a yard for a cavalier - she swore everyone walks their cavaliers
at the beaches. She swore training would keep it from running off. I asked
her if she would get up in the night and take a cavalier out and she said no
dog would get her up in the night to piddle --that it has to work into her
life. And if it growled at her cats it would be the first thing out the
door. Additionally, she doesnt have the money to buy a cavalier and wanted a
resque but she wanted a perfectly healthy cavalier since she is retiredand
cannot afford vet care and living in a condo and wants a dog that works into
her life.

She got more and more defensive when I talked about the need to excersize
and run in a safe yard. Then she said she would go to the pound and get a
little dog and avoid the questions. She promptly hung up on me for asking
one question about her living conditions. I hadnt even got to anything else.
Where can she walk in a buy a dog without answering questions other than a
petshop?
