Robin,
I agree with you. I was a breeder of award winning CFA cats and I
put people through the third degree and they never took a kitten home
the first time they visited me, etc.....

I have a big fenced in yard out back and when I let my two Cavaliers
run out, they end up laying down and not exercising! I feel by
plaing with them, and
as you said walking them alot, that is where they get the real exercise.

I told my vet about this, and she said, of course they will lay down
(they are only 3 1/2 years old), and once in a great while they will
get to chasing each other around, but for the most part they do not
run. So breeders, don't always discount a home without a fenced-in
yard, IF the potential owner is someone who will exercise their
Cavaliers.

I quit my job so I could be home with mine, as I was told that it was
not acceptable to work full time and have a Cavalier, and I fully
agree with this.
My two are so spoiled it's incredible! Cavaliers and Birman cats are the best!
