You know I had to think about this one a lot. In the end, I would have
to know more and put it into a larger context. I've had veiled
inquiries for females that people clearly wanted to breed, but I also
know that WAY before I bred horses or dogs I knew that I didn't want my
wonderful companian dog spayed early in her life. I wanted her to be
intact until she was grown enough. I'm not sure that I even knew back
then what "grown enough" was; I just couldn't bear the idea of her
undergoing surgery as a puppy.
She was spayed later, of course and became my companian from late
childhood up until just before I had children. I still miss her.
So........there could be many reasons for this question. I think I
would want more information and be very direct about penalties for
breach of contract. I use a liquidated damage clause for each incident
of breeding which is in violation of contract including "accidental"
breedings. If they don't object to that..........then it isn't
economically viable for them to breed.
