I think the parallel movement is mentioned in the English standard, but not
the American standard (which supports the attitude that toys are not
supposed to be useful working dogs).  Since I find the Cavalier
temperament/smarts wonderfully suitable for training in obedience/agility,
etc., I don't understand why correct movement is not spelled out in our
standard. My guy is also very "birdy". Wonder if he could be trained as a
"flushing" spaniel? :-) Has anyone trained or know of Cavaliers that have
been used as hunting dogs?
