I think the majority of people who continuously buy in the UK would have no
problem buying dogs with no strings attached here.  The *strings* are mainly
for first timers.  I am sure there are those who sell dogs to long time
breeders with strings, but doubt there are many.

In my opinion the reason people buy in the UK is because you breed 5-8 times
more puppies than we do on a yearly basis.  If we consider 10% to be of
really top quality, and we produce 2,000-3,000 puppies a year and the UK
produces 15,000 or more a year--there are A LOT more top quality puppies
available in the UK!   So we here in the U.S. have a much better chance of
getting a *good* one in the UK than here.  In addition since there are SO
few good ones in the U.S. the breeders tend to keep them for
themselves--they are not just not available for sale.
