I don't think individual breeders breed more cavaliers than individual
breeders in the US (if you see what I mean!) There are some breeders that
have several litters in the year just as there are in the US. However there
are a lot more Cavalier owners in the UK and a lot of cavaliers that should
not necessarily be bred from! Hence the 10,309 registered in 2001
I would think in a few more years your numbers registered will surpass ours
in AKC. After all they have only been recognised "officially" for a few
short years.
Our registrations are slowly coming down from the "explosion " there was in
the seventies whether this is because there are less being bred or whether
it is because people are not registering them is another story!! VBG
