Speaking for myself...I enjoy selling to novices..as a rule.
The atmosphere in this country at this time is unfortunate to say the least.
I have always tried to be very careful but now would rather not have litters
than sell puppies.

Trust me..I like money as well as anyone. <g> This is a serious crisis.

As has been stated..there are many breeders selling baby puppies for $2500.
and up..as pets on restricted pedigrees or on a pyramid scheme.
Someone telephoned me a few months ago asking for a "rare" well marked tri
color bitch, she had heard she could expect to pay $3000- $4000 and was more
than willing. She wanted all the tests, of course..had been told that
prices were high because of the expensive testing and the difficulty in
getting the proper color pattern.
Of course we all know a well marked tri is not so much of a problem as a
well marked tri with the proper pleasing expression, correct make and shape
and lovely movement.
Oh well.
I'm afraid it will get worse until it finally levels off and gets better.
