LOL! I enjoy the social life of the CKCSC too, but the reason I enjoy it is because of the people. Amazingly enough I found out there were people in the AKC too! Now I have a dual social life. To get serious, I can understand why some of the CKCSC people are so hesitant. Some humans find change very hard to do--they prefer to keep wearing the old comfortable *shoe*. We need these type of humans just as much as we need those that rapidly adapt and jump forward at a fast pace. They balance each other out. Without the adaptable ones we would never discover new things, implement new ideas and progress. Without those that find change very hard--we might move forward so quickly that we lose control and accidentally self-destruct. I think the adapters have been patient and waited long enough for the slow-to-change types. Now we quick adapters need to show the slow-to-change types that the new shoe is just as comfortable as the old shoe. Once that is done--THEN we can get back to the business of working together and putting the DOGS first.
