Hi List, I've been discussing with a friend in another breed about what responsibilities co-breeder's have to each other. If Breeder A and Breeder B own the bitch and there is a litter. Each co-breeder takes half of the resulting litter. There were 3 questions posed:
1) If Breeder A sells a puppy, do they have the responsibility to let Breeder B know the name of the new owner? 2) If Breeder A transfers the puppy into their name and then decides to sell the puppy down the road, do they still have the responsibility to tell Breeder B the information ? 3) If a puppy that Breeder B sold from this litter was found to have a congental defect at about 1 year of age, should Breeder B have the right to know the ownership of all puppies of the litter, including the ones sold in the above situations?. My friend was asking this because a good friend of her's was in the above situation and was told that she had no right to the information as Breeder B. Please let me know what you think so I can give her some advice.
