Correction... I had forgotten about Norma Inglis who "slapped" my hand down
while I was holding it right in her line of vision while she was trying to
look at my dog. (Not hard, and she did smile while doing it.) And since
she gave us Winners Bitch I obviously did not mind. However, I have never
made that mistake again. She did get her point across. Perhaps we can
suggest that some AKC judges kick the exhibitors who are kneeling.....JUST
 KIDDING !

Phyllis. I remember the occasion well. Why you would want to wave your bait
filled hand in front of the judges nose is beyond me! LOL As Nellie has the
loveliest of expressions she does not need enticing!
But you are not alone. At Manchester fairly recently I squeaked a toy mouse
to attract Haagen Dazs attention. Unfortunately I did it at an inopportune
moment. I had been finalised and the judge was looking once more at each dog
moving across the ring. I "squeaked" just as Mollie Coaker did her walk. The
judge, Ellis Hulme, tapped me sharply on the arm and said "don't do that!" I
got such a shock I dropped the mouse and it shot across the ring! But he
must have forgiven my stupidity as we won Reserve Dog CC. I am more careful
now.
