Hi List: I have a prospective puppy buyer who also has a hampster as a pet. This pet is caged but also is out of its cage for petting and cuddling. The family seem like really nice people but I am concerned about a Cavalier sharing a home with a rodent. Cavaliers are very prey oriented. There is nothing better they love to do than chase squirrels and chipmunks, mice etc. but I don't know what a Cavalier puppy would do if it was raised with a rodent. Would they be able to live together peacefully. Has anyone had any experience with this type of combination. I know that Cavaliers are fine with cats but I have serious reservations about this. Because they are such nice people, I don't want to turn them down without another opinion. I told them I would ask the list for their views.
