Oh - didn't I share all that microchip crap-ola with you when I brought
Justine in? Yep, the European chips are not read by ANY scanner in the
US -- the chips in the US are different - the scanner company will not
sell anyone in the US a European scanner (Hans said he'd get me one if I
really wanted it <g>) There are some kind of 'secured territories' -
this company sells here, that company there - and never the twain shall
share <g> to paraphrase a bit <g>
Then I thought about it -- as long as we are in the US, she needed to be
injected with a chip that the scanners HERE can read, so I had her
re-done --
And now she has two chips - which someone pointed out to me, will make
it easier for me to prove she is MY dog if I KNOW she has the TWO chips,
where they are on her body, etc.
The chip she got as a pup is on her left shoulder / neck area - the one
she got here is between her shoulder blades on the back of her neck, low
down almost on her back -
Yep - gotta get those puppers re-chipped - and I don't know what Avid
will do for you to register the new #s -
Joan
